Deutsche Bank is aggressively expanding its private banking division in the UK and Nordics, hiring senior bankers from top rivals to capture more HNW clients.
Deutsche Bank’s private banking arm is recruiting heavily in London, Stockholm, and Copenhagen, adding top relationship managers from Citi, HSBC, and Goldman Sachs. The unit now oversees EUR 645 billion in client assets globally.
Executives say the expansion reflects growing demand from ultra-wealthy families in Northern Europe for bespoke lending, estate planning, and cross-border investment strategies. With increasing competition in global wealth management, Deutsche Bank aims to consolidate its position as one of the top players serving European HNWIs.
